Comments

Bad weather at Casey stopped us flying most of the day, but we had a brilliant day at the ship, so kept steaming in. Began fly-off of Casey expeditioners yesterday afternoon from about 30 nm, at 1610, and continued until 2000. We moved 6700kg of people and gear in 22 flights. 44 people were sent ashore, 208 articles of baggage, 10 pieces of econ'd cargo, and 9 bags of mail, plus around 10 boxes of fresh produce. Today has also been fanstastic, and being so close to station has allowed us to get all the priority sling loads ashore, and the last of the passengers. We're hopeful we may complete operations today in these good conditions. All the people involved in cargo ops are doing a brilliant job in cold conditions, but the sun is a bonus. REGARDS Doug and Nicki
