Comments

A second ice recon flight yesterday gave us a way through the maze. Followed up with a third recon flight late afternoon to give us waypoints for the evening. Made excellent progress overnight, and have had a brilliant morning at the ship. Another ice recce flight this morning gave us a way to the Petersen Bank, and as I write this we're about 11 nm from fairly open water. The weather has been marginal for flying at Casey all morning, but seems to be improving, so we hope to start transferring people this afternoon. REGARDS Doug and Nicki
