Comments

A beautiful sunny morning as we approached the sea ice zone. Like a bather testing the water, the ship briefly entered the ice, easily pushing aside the small first-year floes, before turning more westerly again to get to our intended waypoint where we will turning south. Then the fun begins... Our weekly ship muster drill on the helideck got everyone up and outside, although the majority already were with the ice being nearby. A crisp clear morning, with attendant Antarctic and Cape Petrels putting on a show as they followed the ship. YIKLA*. *(ancient ANARE-speak for "This is the life") REGARDS Doug and Nicki
