As we left the shelter of Macca yesterday, we charged straight into a fairly serious swell (was up to 8m last night), which slightly dampened our victory laps of the ship (literally). We had a fairly uncomfortable night, but conditions have improved considerably throughout the day. Field training has commenced for some, while others gaze out at the vast expanse of ocean ahead, and ponder what the ice may have in store for us. Others just read trashy novels and watch DVDs...
