A brilliant sunrise and a pretty near perfect day at Macca! The Island looked fantastic as we approached: bathed in early morning sunshine, and covered in a serious dusting of snow on the plateau. Pretty much everyone up and about to enjoy our arrival. The Aurora crew had the LARC in the water by 0835, and worked hard in the cold and windy conditions to get all the priority cargo (both CAT engines in, and two retrieved), as well as everything else, ashore. The Macca folk managed to launch their IRB in dumpy surf to return the LARC crew to the ship (the LARC is staying on the island) by 1335. As I write this, we're cruising down the east coast of the island, heading for Casey. One down, three to go... REGARDS Doug and Nicki
