Comments

Just crossed the Antarctic Circle. Making good progress through loose pack ice despite poor visibility. Very scenic Saturday with mirror-calm seas, pack ice and occasional whale. All scheduled stations completed so far. Krill tanks full of happy animals and instrument room full of contented oceanographers. Satellite sea ice information not up to date enough to assist navigation but will continue South as planned for the next two days to complete transect one, weather and ice permitting. REGARDS Steve and Ruth
