Comments

Hmmmm... OK, so something had to slow us down eventually. At about 2000 last night the ship was unable to make way through the ice. We're drifting WSW at about 0.5 knots, and presently making slow progress towards an open patch of water. The amount of snow on the sea ice is the problem, with the ship unable to maintain its momentum and push through. We intend to put up a helicopter for an ice reconaissance flight this afternoon to try and find some leads in our vicinity. REGARDS Doug & Rob
