Recovered the CPR just after midnight, and established contact with the SAZ-C mooring at 0045. A sharp drop in water temperature indicates we've crossed the Antarctic Polar Front. Raining and overcast this morning, but visibility was good enough to release the mooring at 0620, with visual contact at 0632. The pick up line was aboard at 0710 as the fog rolled in and reduced visibility to a couple of hundred metres... good timing! The complete mooring was recovered by 0843. Despite battery failure, both sediment traps appear to have worked for most of the year. Respooling of the cable and preparations for redeployment are well underway, and we anticipate being finished at this site by early evening. Clocks back one hour this tonight. REGARDS Doug & Rob
