Departed Davis anchorage at 2140LT last night after completing a very successful resupply at Davis and changeover for both Davis and Mawson stations. Transfer of water continued throughout the day with the last load completed at 2030LT. It is estimated that up to 200 tons of water were transferred to the Davis storage tanks and this figure will be confirmed later. Have been travelling through the pack ice since departure and experiencing first year ice with some large floes with coverage of seven to nine tenths with plenty of leads and water. Held a life boat emergency muster this morning and crew are currently undertaking life boat launching drill. A special thank you to the Davis 2005 winter and the new summer and 2006 winter teams for their excellent support, hard work, and ability to find solutions to any issues that arose, as well as to the Master and ships crew for their great support and willingness to assist with any and all matters.
