Stationary last night due to poor visibility. When conditions improved very early this morning probed a possible route down 108 East but the going got very tough, very quickly, so after a good try gave it away. Currently travelling along the ice edge to look at a third option for transit south but visibility has 'dropped out' yet again. Due to persistent cloud we still have no up-to-date satpix so there isn't much to work with but intuition. If this the third option is a no go we will just have to sit and wait for a good satellite pass. Ship is performing well but ice conditions this season appear particularly difficult. Lots of patience required!
