Departed Hobart for Casey at 29.0940 UTC. Magic start with everyone out and about!! Outlook for the next few days looks reasonable. Initial ETA northern edge of Casey's outer ice band is Thursday, 6 January (but watch this space!). Ice will then control how long it will take from there to the Newcomb Bay anchorage. Many thanks to all who contributed to getting the voyage organised, loaded and away, and those who farwelled us last night! REGARDS Martin and Steve
