Comments

Calm conditions continue. We lost a bit of time overnight due to slow steaming speeds in thick fog but we are making good progress. The first iceberg was just seen off the port beam. An egg mass that came up draped on the CTD frame back at 50S has been identified as cephalopod eggs, possibly from a giant squid, by Liz Turner from the Museum in Hobart.
