Made good speed northwards from Davis across Prydz Bay yesterday afetrnoon. Slowed by 50 mile wide band of 5/10 pack last night. Now at northern edge of pack to seaward of shelf break. Just completed top-up operation for live krill in area where Heard Island fur seals have been tracked to. Saw 20 fur seals in about 1 hour this morning in northern fringes of pack - a quite exceptional number. Once trawl deck secured will head NE to met buoy deployment site and then leadfoot it for home.
