Comments

Weather still in the mid 30s of wind for last 24 hours. Abandoned hope of resuming western oceanographic transect and have steamed back towards Heard Island to do some repeat acoustic transcets in the Macaroni study box. This is in more sheltered water and well placed to take advantage of reasonable weather to start the oceanographic transect southwards. Visited Atlas Cove this morning and are now abeam of Brown Glacier. All field camps sighted and contacted by radio. Regards Dick and Tim
