Comments

Completed first 24 hour trawling station yesterday and night time portion of second station last night. Been hove to in bad weather since breakfast time. Weather now moderating and should be back in business within a few hours. When we developed the film from the bottom camera attached to the CTD we found a fantastic picture of a squid on one frame. It appears the squid had attacked the trigger lanyard of the camera and taken its self-portrait. We now have the cover picture for Nature; all that remains is to organise the contents. Regards Dick and Tim
