Continued flying passengers and cargo to Casey yesterday afternoon as vessel worked south. Ship broke though the last band of heavy ice into open water near the tip of Peterson Bank at 2030 and proceeded to the immediate area of Casey by midnight. Commenced fly-off at 0600 this morning over a distance of only 2 miles. All cargo and Casey passengers ashore by lunchtime today. Aircrew and 3 other round-trippers also ashore at present.
