Comments

Undertaking work at Ice Station 6, smaller station to increase the number of cores collected for biological sampling. Good weather has resulted in success for several programs. Helicopter flights for floe sampling, aerial photography and EM measurements underway. Red balloon launched this morning resulted in spectacular footage of the ice cover in the region, and of the red balloon itself. Pack opening up, increasing number of leads in the region. Field training continuing as we are nearing the Casey fly off. Evening lecture series in full swing, with several presentations on Casey tip projects. REGARDS Ian and Vicky
