Comments

Reached outer ice edge just north-west of the Petersen Bank late afternoon yesterday after a slow trip northwards. Currently waiting 65 nm north-north-west of Casey for commencement of the first sortie from the station but the weather is unsuitable. This morning the Snyder Rocks party was flown back to Casey and airfield-related flights were completed on Law Dome. Some aerial photography done. Will try to do more if conditions permit while flying to the ship is not possible. Need one-and-a-half days of flying for the fly-out program. As a result departure for Hobart looks like slipping to Friday, 7 March at the earliest. REGARDS Martin and Chris
