Comments

Cargo operations were completed by 1615 local on Monday and the ship was ready for sea by 1800. As darkness was near remained at anchor overnight and headed north at first light this morning (0505 local). Held position 10 nm north of Casey for three hours this morning due to poor visibility but are now under way again. A total of 24 people (15 round-trippers) and minimal baggage remain to be flown off from Casey over the next few days as weather allows. Programs on station proceeding satisfactorally, although flying today looks like being confined to the Casey local area. Snyder Rocks party deployed and have the Automatic Weather Station there installed and up and running. Awaiting suitable conditions for airfield flying, aerial photography and Snyder group retrieval. A very good operation at Casey yesterday - many thanks to all station and ship personnel involved.
