Slight speed increase now that the winds have turned south-west and the seas have moderated just a little. Certainly more comfortable on board in these conditions. ETA at the Casey fly-off point remains at late afternoon on Sunday, 2 March, although at best there will probably only be enough time to do an initial evaluation of the ice situation there before darkness shuts down operations for the day. A recent satpix suggests the presence of ice across northern Vincennes Bay from the Petersen Bank westwards but its hard to estimate just how much is actually there at the moment. A forecast for strengthening north-easterly winds on Tuesday makes for an intriguing situation. Clocks back a further hour tonight to take us to Casey time. E-mail downloads continued to be at 1100, 1545 and 2200 Eastern Summer Time. REGARDS Martin and Chris
