Resupply operations continuing; main hatch cleared of deck cargo by 1200; 2 PCMEGA helicopters ship to shore 1130; 3 local field parties deployed by ship’s helicopters; weather watch crew to Sansom Island by PCMEGA helicopters; TO RTD at 1415 from first flight (Flight 2) to Mt Creswell, departed at 1445 for Mt Stinear (Flight 3), RTD via Mt Cresswell at 2100; all deck, ‘tween decks and half No 1 lower hold cleared by 2000; fuel hose laid out and tested, pumping started 1830. A great day’s work all round in perfect weather! 0700 update: TO to depart 0745 with Flight 4 to Mt Creswell, 2 helicopters may follow, depending on further weather reports.
