Comments

Making good progress – best day’s run so far; emergency muster held this morning – excellent learning experience; Red Faces night revealed much talent (?) – mostly amongst the crew who took out top prize; ‘Assassin’ warming up, a dozen dead and paranoia raging..
On a more serious note: Continuous plankton recorder #3 could not be retrieved until 2000 hrs Sat evening due to rough weather, and therefore ran for 475.73 nm. Despite this, it was a successful run with numerous krill, amphipods and other zooplankton. CPR #4 is now swimming. This is probably the second last CPR deployment prior to reaching the ice-edge.
CPR #3 Start 54 21.620 S, 112 59.100 E Finish 57 50.230 S, 100 14.140 E
CPR #4 Start 57 51.770 S, 100 08.210 E
REGARDS Louise and Jane
