Comments

A long and tiring day for the mooring crew and marine crew yesterday and this morning, recovering and redeploying SAZ F. The mooring was on board by 1445 yesterday, after a number of big tangles slowed things down. The traps were turned around, and redployment commenced at 0100 this morning, and the "cement shoe" (mooring anchor) went in the water at 0640, with some tangles on the winch drum slowing things down again. A quiet ship today as we head for the ice edge, with both crews having a well earned rest. The biologists are starting to get their gear ready, anticipating the ice tomorrow. REGARDS Dug
