Currently in open water, heading towards Casey, ETA 1600 local. Yesterday late afternoon flew mail and fresh food in to Casey and flew one further ice recon flight. Moderating conditions have eased the ice pressure around the ship and slow but steady progress was made during the night and morning. This morning we broke free of heavy ice and entered open water at approx 1200 local. All well, intend to discharge cargo this afternoon and evening as pax are rationed afloat tonight, then disembark pax tomorrow morning, hopeful for a noon time departure. REGARDS J&L
