Anchored in Buckles Bay at 0730. At 0818 the 2001 SL, Robb Clifton, came aboard by IRB for an operational meeting. Robb and the VL then briefed expeditioners and crew regarcing station limits and rules, and the plan for the day.At 0945 the first pax were ashore by IRB and the two new IRBs prepared and launched. At 1000 the helicopter was wheeled from the hangar, bladed, cleaned and refuelled.At 1053 the first LARC was in the water in a very smooth operation. The second LARC was in the water at 1115. By 1130 all inward IRB trips were complete with 54 pax ashore plus eight cargo loads. The helicopter departed with the first load of mail etc at 1134 and has since completed ten loads of scientific and other equipment. Wind and seas have eased and the ship has been repositioned to commence fuel pumping operations. LARC operations will also commence shortly. Many thanks to all for their efforts.
