Comments

Weather and sea conditions moderated rapidly last night. At 1811 the first LARC was on the hook and at 1851 was secured in the Tween Deck in a carefully planned and executed operation. At 1911 the second LARC was hooked and it was on the hatch top at 1921. All was achieved in near perfect conditons. 'Aurora' departed the anchorage at 2006, Tuesday 19 March for Hobart. Today embarking expeditioners have attended ship safety briefings. Other expeditioners are report writing. Almost all are up and about. Expect to arrive at the Pilot at 1300 Friday 22 March and alongside at 1400.
