Departed Hobart at 1705 on Sunday 10 March after a very pleasant afternoon - thanks to all for helping us to get away!!! Briefing session and expeditioner introductions last night. Concern today regarding marine growth on the barge - it has been scraped and is currently being steam cleaned. Planning meetings held re IRBs and helicopters, also Navy Info session with Master and SAO. Boot cleaning and clothes vacuuming currently underway in preparation for arrival. All well and enjoying life at sea. Given current weather and sea conditions we expect to arrive at Macquarie Island early on Wednesday 13 March.
