Whale observers conducted aerial survey off Davis. Departed Davis 8pm last night; safety briefing for new passengers. Arrived in the vicinity of AIS3 at 0700; ice recce revealed AIS2 in open water, AIS 1 and 3 almost. One helicopter currently to AMISOR AWS for ten minute modification to get it working 100%. Many whales observed throughout the morning. Intention: once helicopter returns to the vessel, make best way to the most accessible mooring site.
