Sea remains high with swells to 9 metres. Despite the conditions we maintained good speed and for the twenty four hour period until 1200 local we averaged 13.08 knots. Time will be advanced a further one hour tonight to bring us in line with Hobart local time. (Timepieces are now aligned according to LONGitudes). This is the last report for the voyage as we are due at the pilot station at 1200 tomorrow. My thanks go to the Master and crew for their support, cooperation, and very professional conduct of their duties, to the Deputy Voyage Leader for his excellent support and work, to the round trip passengers who always helped so willingly with any task when requested, and to all the expeditioners at Davis and Mawson, still there or on RTA voyages, for their outstanding support and cooperation and very friendly welcome during our time at each station.
