Weather and sea conditions improved markedly in yesterday afternoon and we reached Davis anchorage position at 2015 local time and anchor deployed by 2200. Due to late arrival no operations possible last evening. Weather conditions marginal today and we are in process of lowering barges to commence passenger transfers and cargo operations. Wind picking up and we may have to suspend operations until wind reduces. Intend to proceed with first run shortly to carry priority passengers and mail and will review position after that. Davis SL aboard and has briefed passengers. Will advise further on progress later in the day.
