Comments

Both Aurora and Polar Bird travelling together, with PolarB currently 5nm astern. Second engine dropped in at 1000 this morning after fog patches eased. CPR deployed early today. In the last 24hrs we have seen seals and penguins, krill swarms, numerous species of Antarctic birds, sperm whales and several pods of minke whales. All onboard enjoying a normal day without whaling fleets, tourist vessels, fishing long liners, helicopter operations, passenger transfers and negotiating rafted pack ice. All happy to have Polar Bird free and to be heading for home finally.
