l personnel and cargo for Casey left the ship at 0712 UTC yesterday. Last aircraft arrived on board at 1110 UTC and the ship departed the fly-off area at 1208 UTC bound for Hobart. Heavy going through consolidated ice at first last night but good progress has been made in the last six hours through mostly continuous nine tenths first year pack. It was an excellent operation at Casey thanks to the hard work of many on shore, in the air and on the ship - efforts that took full advantage of the generally cooperative weather (which we must also thank!). Sincere thanks to all who contributed to the operation. Its magic down here but we all look forward to coming home. Arrival in Hobart on Sunday, 21 October is currently on the cards, however, the next few days do not look good weatherwise.
