Comments

Still in ice but a strong ocean swell is now with us. A major Low pressure system is approaching today and we are hoping to get sufficiently north of it before it arrives in order to take advantage of the predicted strong southerly component in both wind and sea in its rear. Current ETA Hobart is Sunday, 21 September (will firm up date/time as much as is possible by mid-week). Note the change in the SAB figure above (wrong SG was used in the original calculation). Ships clocks are going forward one hour tonight to UTC+9. (Tuesdays E-mail down-loads are scheduled for 0000, 0430 and 0830 UTC).
