Australia's Antarctic season wrapped up with the return of RSV Nuyina in May, from its resupply of Macquarie Island and support of Southern Ocean science. Check out our scientific and operational highlights, featuring ships, planes, tractors, tents, and of course, people.

Spying on Antarctic krill

Australian scientists are closer to discovering more about the winter movements of Antarctic krill, thanks to a not-so-subtle device - a bright yellow 'KOMBI' bristling with scientific instruments.

Happy campers

A new deep-field camp has been established in the Bunger Hills, near the Denman Glacier in East Antarctica, for scientists to begin studying climate change impacts in the region.
