Expressions of interest for the Australian Antarctic Arts Fellowship are open now

Expressions of Interest from Australian artists and creative professionals for one of Australia’s most unique residency experiences, the Australian Antarctic Arts Fellowship will open on the 15 December.

The Australian Antarctic Arts Fellowship is part of the Australian Antarctic Program and aims to increase awareness and appreciation of Antarctica, the sub-Antarctic and the Southern Ocean through the development of creative outcomes.

The Arts Fellowship is supported by the Australian Antarctic Division, of the Australian Government Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). The Arts Fellowship connects Australians with Antarctica and supports Australia’s implementation of the Antarctic Strategy and 20 Year Action Plan.

An online EOI information session will be held at 3pm on the 18 December. You must register to attend.

Expressions of Interest will close 1 February 2026.

Successful Fellows can apply to the Australian Network for Art and Technology (ANAT) for $5000 to support their project.
