The EM Unit has dedicated, up-to-date equipment for preparing samples for electron microscopy and two electron microscopes.

The typical end result of electron microscopical research is a high quality black and white photographic or digital image. And yes, electron micrographs are ALWAYS black and white unless they have been artificially coloured!
