I will be working as a driller and doing the initial logging of ice cores at Aurora Basin.

Career highlights

I have a background in mechanical engineering specialling in fluid dynamics. I worked as an ocean modeller for the Tasmanian Partnership for Advanced Computing (TPAC) and as an ice sheet modeller for the Australian Antarctic Division, before joining the ice core group at the Division.

I have had three previous stints in Antarctica at both Casey and McMurdo stations as the Australian leader on the international aerogeophysical ICECAP (Investigating Cryospheric Evolution through Collaborative Aerogeophysical Profiling) project.
