Chunlei An - driller
Polar Research Institute of China (PRIC)
My main role at Aurora Basin is to assist in the drilling of the main core and ice core processing.
I am a researcher in the Polar Glaciology Division at the Polar Research Institute of China. My background is in geography, and my research area is climate change, mainly using chemical methods such as stable isotopes and ions. In the past five years, I have also been involved in developing and using ice core drilling equipment, such as deep ice core drills and hot water drills. I have been to Dome Argus in Antarctica three times to conduct glaciological observations and deep ice core drilling.
