Scientists from the Australian Antarctic Division are working to understand how human presence in Antarctica might introduce aliens to the continent and subantarctic islands.
These aliens are non-native species, which, with rapid climate change occurring in some parts of Antarctica, might impact on fragile ecosystems.
Here is a preview of the project taken from the latest issue of the Australian Antarctic Magazine - out in June.
