Adam Pedler, grandson of Alexander Kennedy of the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911–14) pointed out an error in Issue 29, page 27, in the order of men of the Western Base party referenced in photo 3. The correct order is L-R: Harrison, Jones, Watson, Moyes, Dovers, Hoadley, Wild and Kennedy.
In the same story (page 26, Issue 29 about a bottle etched and signed by the Australasian Antarctic Expedition), we indicated that Mr John Buchanan presented the expedition with three bottles of Portugese Madeira. John King Davis’ book, High Latitude, however, confirms that only two bottles were presented.
