Your cargo allowance will depend upon whether you are a wintering or summering expeditioner.

You will have been notified of the amount you are able to take by letter. General cargo information is available in this section of the website.

You can get your cargo to Antarctica in one of three ways:

  • If you are a winterer, the AAD will collect up to 250 kg from home via a national transport company.
  • You can send your cargo to:
  • Australian Antarctic Division
    203 Channel Highway
    Kingston Tasmania 7050

  • You can personally deliver cargo to the AAD store at Kingston.

You will need to deliver your cargo by the specified cargo required by date (CRBD) for your voyage.
