BT-67 Basler and DHC-6 Twin Otter ski equipped aircraft have been contracted for intra-continental operations capability since 2010.
The ski equipped aircraft transport people and cargo from Wilkins (near Casey) to ski landing areas at Davis, Mawson and other field locations.
The planes work closely with AS 350 B3 ‘Squirrel’ helicopters to provide support to a range of projects.
