Mawson End Of Season Function

Saturday 1st February 2020 saw the Mawson 72nd ANARE (Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions) team celebrate the end of their season.

To celebrate, the 25 member team enjoyed a evening of fine dining thanks to Master Chef Kim De Laive, along with presentation of medallions to the 12 winter expeditioners.

The evening was also memorable for a special guest star appearance by Antarctic dog 'Stay', in spite of recent dognapping plans by the Davis team.

We now patiently await the arrival of the resupply ship Aurora Australis early next week...
