    With the ship leaving last week, we're in our first week of winter. As a result, we're starting to 'winterise' buildings and get into new work routines.

    This week we finished our summer science programs, winterised Woop Woop and said goodbye to fellow expeditioners heading home on the Aurora Australis.

    This week at Davis we've been finishing off our search and rescue training, having a good time with our Indian neighbours and we held an art show.

    This week at Davis we have the ABC in town, we're doing deep field work on the Sørsdal Glacier and Amery Ice Shelf, and successfully replacing Trajer Hut.

    This week at Davis we've been very aviation focused with a Hercules coming in and some deep field projects having been achieved. However, we did still manage to combine fire training with washing the vehicles.

    It has been another big week at Davis with trips out into the deep field, a visit to the neighbours, more seabird work and everyone out on recreational jollies.

    This week at Davis we've hauled cable for infrasound, been out studying geophysics, removed the hut from Trajer Ridge and continued our search and rescue training.

    This week we celebrate 60 years of Davis, opening of the boating season and a hut upgrade.

    It's been a busy two weeks. This included an appearance from Father Christmas, a delicious feast, a hot tub on New Year's Day and a visit from the neighbours.

    As we approach mid-summer, things are getting busy on station: the Met team are finally all here, the aircraft ground support officers are working out of Woop Woop and the physical scientists are finishing data collection while the sea ice is still present.
