This is our 52nd week on station and what an adventure it has been. Living in a unique and majestic location like Antarctica is not an opportunity that is had by many, and this winter 29 of us have come together, to live and to work, and to look after one another and in doing so formed a wonderful community.
There are many things you can say about the year, but it really comes down to the people and the experiences we have collectively shared. I’d like to take the opportunity to thank each and everyone one of you here at Casey for your part in making it such a great year and also to all of our friends and families for providing us the support whilst we have been away.
So thank you to the members of the 72nd Casey ANARE and all of the special people in our lives.
We also welcome the first expeditioners of the 19/20 Antarctic season.
