The Casey band had one final standout performance before the end of the summer season. We had some real talent in the band this year, with many members able to play a multitude of instruments.
'The Meltdowns’ were an asset to the station this summer.
Also, a large contingent of ‘Summerers’ (expeditioners staying for summer only) departed station during the week. A melancholy departure for many with mixed feelings — the end of a busy summer, separating from friends and colleagues you've lived and worked with for months, combined with the excitement of getting home to family and friends.
A few tears and lots of smiles.
