Kitchen Renovations

This week at Casey: 23 September 2011

Casey station's accommodation capacity has recently been increased and with plans to increase it again, the Casey kitchen was also in need of some upgrading... so the 2011 winter crew were given the task.

The plan involves (amongst other things) removing a few walls, fitting some new shelving for storing all the food that Rocket (our Chef) turns into delectable delights, a new coolroom and there will be some more work a little further down the track.

First the fun stuff – some demolition! Even Rocket thought about changing professions when he saw how much fun the demolition crew were having...  I’m sure once the shelves are finished and the coolroom installed, the creativity will flow from Rocket and we will relish the delicious, succulent meals that come from this new kitchen...
