Macquarie Island has an upper atmosphere physics laboratory and a biology building. The biology building consists of:

  • two general laboratories
  • wet laboratory.

Facilities include power, hot and cold water, piped LPG, fume cupboards and a water distillation unit.

A large number of scientists require lab space and office space each summer, and as such these facilities can be busy and crowded.
