The AAD supplies limited quantities of alcohol for special occasions such as Christmas.

Prior to their departure, expeditioners are permitted to purchase limited supplies of alcohol to bring to station.

Home brew of beer, stout, cider and ginger beer is also produced on station.

All alcoholic beverages, other than home brew, are stored in ‘Fort Knox’, to which access is available weekly. This includes the alcohol that expeditioners may have purchased.

Each station is also equipped with a general bar area.
