Confidentiality
All the information you give to a counsellor will remain in confidence. The AAD receives statistical reporting only on the usage of the program.
When you go to see a counsellor without taking time off work, no one will be informed. If time off work is required, no information will be given to your supervisor other than confirming your attendance at counselling sessions.
If you decide that it may be helpful for your supervisor or some other person to be informed about your situation, and how it might be affecting your work, you must give written permission for the counsellor to contact that specific person.
